Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Wigan, who are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team from 3rd November through to the end of the Autumn term (Christmas).

We're looking for a qualified Art Teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. The ideal candidate will have a flair for inspiring creativity and a proven track record of delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that motivate pupils and promote artistic expression.

Our client school received a Good Ofsted in November 2024 and is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school who are a community with one common goal, striving for the highest standards in everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with school and national standards
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils of varying abilities and ensure progress for all
• Contribute to the school's creative ethos and wider school activities

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recent experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the Art curriculum for KS3 & KS4
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
