Job Description - Assembly Technician

Carbon60 are currently looking for a Assembly Technician to join a client of ours based in Stevenage. This role is a 12 month contract with the potential of extension.

As a Assembly Technician , you will be responsible for consistently producing items that conform to all quality requirements in accordance with the production plan. You will work in accordance with the company's local document system, describing methods and procedures, and comply with standard processes, specific area requirements, and health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician role:

- Promote and follow Clean room Regulations, local area health and safety requirements, and 5S policy within the local work area
- Take progress and report to the Lead Technician / Team Lead when required
- Provide input to shop floor meetings when requested
- Play an active part in maintaining 5S disciplines and continuous improvement activities
- Provide support to trainees within the department when required
- Be flexible and mobile across operational teams, supporting as needed based on individual skill sets and business requirements

The ideal Assembly Technician candidate will have:

- Previous experience in a manual handling role
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and experience within a production/manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow procedures and work instructions/manuals
- Comfortable working to tight time lines with demanding quality requirements
- High attention to detail and the ability to work from detailed drawings and electronic work instructions
- Experience working in a clean room environment and as part of a team

The working hours for this role are on a fortnightly rotation working :

  • Week 1 - 06:00am - 14:00pm
  • Week 2 - 14:00pm - 22:00pm (Fridays on this shift will be 12:00pm - 20:00pm)

due to the shift rotation there will be a 20% uplift on the hourly rate.
