Assistant Accountant

This role will support the Finance Manager with all Bookkeeping and some month end related tasks. You will be a crucial part of a small and well run Finance team of 4.

Client Details

This business is a historic company based just outside of Reading, due to their remote location you will need your own transport. They offer some flexibility with the hours structure, however they are in the office each day, there is a subsidised canteen of very high quality and the working conditions are fantastic.

Description

The successful Assistant Accountant will be involved in:

• All daily Bookkeeping activities
• Bank Reconciliations
• Journals and adjustments
• Accruals and prepayments
• Sales Ledger invoicing and basic credit control duties
• Month End support and preparation
• Assisting with year end and statutory accounting duties alongside the Finance Manager

Profile

The ideal Assistant Accountant will be someone who is able to travel to just outside Reading, near Theale and has their own transportation to get to the site. You will be someone who has had previous exposure to working in a small but varied finance role, either as an Accounts Assistant or perhaps a more senior post and you are looking for a varied and interesting role now, without the pressure.
