Assistant Accountant - 12-Month FTC

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently working for a market leading and very reputable business in recruiting a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join their fantastic Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in preparing annual budgets (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet)
• Produce monthly management accounts, including accruals and variance analysis
• Complete monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Assist with preparation and analysis of cash reporting
• Support with preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and support finance projects
• Contribute to the external audit and process improvements

You must have the following skills and attributes:

• Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
• Experience in management accounts, budgeting, VAT, and cash management
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Desirable: experience in multi-site environments.
