Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the Accounting & Finance department in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry. This temporary role, based in Hoddesdon, offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations.

Description

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and handle accounts payable and receivable tasks.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accurate data entry into accounting systems.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting & Finance team as needed.
• Assist with audits and financial analysis tasks.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• A background in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
