Are you an AAT-qualified accounting professional looking for your next opportunity to make an impact? We're seeking a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team on a fixed-term contract.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Assistant Accountant, you'll support the finance function in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting with month-end processes and reconciliations
• Preparing journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Supporting accounts payable and receivable functions
• Reconciling bank and supplier accounts
• Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements
• Supporting budget monitoring and variance analysis
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU:

• AAT qualified or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Proficient in accounting software
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
