Assistant Accountant

Reed Accountancy is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Huddersfield-based business to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, with an immediate start available.

Location: Huddersfield
Salary: Up to £38k (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time – temp to perm ideally

Duties and Responsibilities:

• End to end sales and purchase ledger management
• Process monthly and weekly payroll using Sage
• Liaise with HR and production
• Support VAT returns and liaise with external accountants
• Assist with monthly management accounts (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
• Job costing, WIP etc
• Collaborate with internal departments

You will need to demonstrate:

• Strong experience in all-around accounts role
• AAT Level 4 or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Strong excel and accounting system skills (Sage experience)
• Ambitious, eager to progress to Finance Manager level in the future
