Assistant Accountant

My Kidderminster based client is seeking an individual to join their finance team, to take on a role that will offer a broad range of duties across the function. This will initially be a contract for a period of around 3 months, with the potential to progress into something longer term. ,

This is an opportunity for someone with a solid set of skills in accountancy who finds themself available immediately, and prepared to consider a contract role over the summer.

General areas of responsibility will be:

- Sales and purchase ledger

- Supporting month end procedures

- Supplier statement reconciliations

- Issuing receipts & allocating payments

- General departmental admin

- Updating spreadsheets and extracting data for reporting purposes

- Liaising with other departments & external parties

This role is to start immediately, with a flexible salary of £26-30k annual equivalent, depending on experience.
