Assistant Accountant - Remote

Ignata Finance are working with a market leading retail business who are seeking to take on an Junior Financial Accountan to join their finance team with remote working for a 9 month contract. This is a huge opportunity which will see the successful candidate take on a truly commercial role where they will engage with all areas of the business from finance to non-finance teams. You will build on your current accounting skills and have the chance to work in a progressive company which will allow you to move up the hierarchy and build both your commercial and accountancy career.

Due to the nature of the role you will ideally match the following:

• Experience of assisting with management accounts would be preferred
• Experience of analysing finance data essential
• Confident using excel which will include pivots and vlookups (ideally large volume data)

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for processing finance data in relation to costs
• Support month end process
• Assist with journal entry, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist to prepare monthly performance reports
• Performance analysis
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure regulations are followed
• Assist with process improvements
• Responsible for complex reconciliations
