Assistant Accountant Temporary To Permanent

My client is seeking an Assistant Accountant (Temporary To Permanent) to start at short notice for an initial six month contract.

My client is a specialist tooling supplier that is a subsidiary company of a global parent based in Tamworth.

As Assistant Accountant (Temporary To Permanent) reporting to the Financial Controller you will undertake the following based 5 days at the Tamworth office:

• Daily accounting tasks including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries
• Payment run preparation
• Bank reconciliations (Statement reconciliations)
• Support month-end and year-end close processes including prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations

Alongside the above support the senior accountant with various accounting projects and tasks as required.

Most desirable Assistant Accountant (Temporary To Permanent) applicant will have demonstrable experience in a fast paced accounts environment, sound knowledge of accounting principles (credits / debits) as well strong Excel knowledge.

You must be able to work 5 days per week in the Tamworth office.
