Assistant Financial Accountant

Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are supporting a prestige Central Oxford based organisation seeking a dedicated Assistant Financial Accountant with a focus on Investments to join their Treasury team. This full-time role is pivotal in managing the accounting for subsidiary companies and endowment investment holdings.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Processing portfolio income and expenditure reports.
• Prepare periodic reports and year-end lead schedules for asset investments.
• Prepare financial statements for subsidiary companies and maintain legal records and compliance with statutory bodies.
• Handle the preparation and submission of VAT returns for the main group and land holding subsidiaries.
• Review cash holdings daily and manage transactions as necessary.
• Reconcile various accounts and prepare lead schedules.
• Review debtor balances and prepare bad debts schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification, or significant experience in a related field.
• Experience in financial accounting, particularly within a college or higher education sector.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
