Assistant Management Accountant

We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join an expanding finance team on a temp-to-perm basis.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in the completion of our monthly carrier reconciliation and close cycles, assisting with product catalogue management, and supporting the finance team's overall objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Conducting reconciliations
• Tracking and reporting reconciliation variances
• Assisting in monthly margin analysis and product tariff management
• Conducting wholesale and customer pricing analysis
• Supporting the monthly Management Accounts process
• Preparing monthly close journals and P&L statements
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaising with suppliers to challenge charges and obtain credits
• Providing ad-hoc analysis to support the Finance Team

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Sage 200 experience (preferred)
• Reconciliation experience
• Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A proactive, positive attitude, able to work within a dynamic small team

This position would suit someone with 2-3 years' finance experience and actively wanting more involvement in management accounting duties.
