Job Description - Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant (Immediate start - 5 month contract)
Manchester City Centre (Hybrid)
£33,000 - £40,000 DOE

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnered with a dynamic, forward-thinking Global business based in the city centre of Manchester, in the search of a Temporary Assistant Management Accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Part -Qualified ACCA/ CIMA candidate who can start immediately and has at least 3 years’ experience in similar role, dealing with month end. Reporting into the Management Accountant, you will have responsibility & autonomy to process all month end journals and reconciliations and produce first draft global monthly management accounts and presentation of key financial data.

Job duties:

Process accruals, prepayments, and producing all working journals.
Preparation of payment runs in the bank
Deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the wider business
Preparation of deliverables for the annual audit
Review of quarterly VAT & US sales return and submission

balance sheet reconciliations and preparing the first draft of the management accounts for Ltd and Inc.
Ensure that revenue is accurately reported and recognized
Provide ad hoc assistance processing invoices and credit card expenses during busy periods
Ownership of sales ledger and credit control

Person specification:

Part-qualified or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in finance
Experience in a fast-growing SaaS start-up would be an advantage
Strong technical accounting skills, and advanced Excel skills
US exposure an advantage
Xero experience an advantage
A flexible, can-do attitude with strong organisational skills
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to interpret financial data
Proven track record in month-end close
