Assistant Management Accountant

RM Recruit are delighted to be working with an excellent organisation based in Keele who are actively seeking a confident Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis for 3 months with the scope for this role to be extended. Our client can offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement with the office presence set at once per week. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available on short notice.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain further experience in management accounting and support key financial processes during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary
• Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules
• Help improve and streamline finance processes
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required

Person Specification

• Part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) or working towards qualification
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within management accounts
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills and a team player
