Assistant Management Accountant

Join a well-established £14m turnover manufacturing group as Assistant Management Accountant, reporting directly into an experienced Financial Controller. This is a hands-on, all-round Assistant Accountant role where you’ll be involved in the nuts and bolts of the accounts - perfect for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility.

Initially offered on a 15-month FTC, there’s a genuine opportunity for this to go permanent.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
• Posting journals, accruals & prepayments
• Bank reconciliations
• Debtors & creditors reporting
• Preparing VAT returns (quarterly)
• Assisting with management accounts
• Balance sheet recs
• Supporting weekly payroll data for an external bureau

What we’re looking for:

• AAT Level 4 (or nearly qualified) - QBE also welcome
• Sage50 and Excel experience
• Someone who communicates well and isn’t afraid to improve a few things
• Proactive, flexible, and gets stuck in where needed
