Assistant Management Accountant

If so, Reed Education are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to support a well-established Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation and ongoing development of financial services within a dynamic and supportive environment.

• Contract: Temporary (4–5 months)
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
• Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing day-to-day financial transactions including:
  
  • Purchase and sales ledger entries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Managing purchase orders and supplier invoices
• Handling staff expenses and petty cash
• Reconciling credit card statements and supplier accounts
• Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of school budgets
• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Forecasting year-end financial positions
• Supporting the CFO or Finance Manager with annual budget planning
• Preparing documentation for internal and external audits
• Maintaining accurate financial records and audit trails

About You:

• Hold (or be working towards) a Level 4 AAT qualification
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support colleagues when needed
• Confident in using your own initiative to solve problems and improve processes
• Highly organised, with excellent administrative and time management abilities
• Proactive and effective in communicating across departments and with external partners
• Experience with Sage 200 is highly desirable
