Assistant Management Accountant

• Contract Length: 6 months (maternity cover, with potential to extend)

• Hourly Rate: Up to £16.43 per hour

We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for a six-month contract to cover maternity leave, with a strong possibility of extension. This role is based in a dynamic manufacturing company in Gillingham and requires the candidate to be available at short notice. The position is office-based, making driving to the location ideal due to its accessibility.

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Help with balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in the improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Handle ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the management team.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ideally, candidates should be available at short notice.
