Huntingdon (Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office, remainder remote)
£18.20 per hour (depending on experience)
Temporary until December 2025
Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

1st Choice Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis until December 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and capable individual to join a dynamic Finance team and contribute to vital financial planning and reporting processes. The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running with minimal training, so previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures
• Support the delivery of business planning and management accounting for both OPEX and CAPEX
• Assist Management Accountants and Senior Management Accountants with transactional and analytical tasks
• Provide support for statutory and regulatory reporting
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly
• Champion improvements in efficiency, automation and innovation

About You:

• Part-qualified accountant(or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrable accounting experience with solid knowledge of management accounting techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organisation and time-management, able to meet deadlines
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP experience desirable
