Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: c. £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Employment Type: 6 - 9 month FTC (potential to go permanent for right person)
Working Arrangement: Office-based with potential for hybrid flexibility

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer and distributor in the building products industry. The company is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager with the preparation of management accounts, analysis, and financial reporting.

What you'll do:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Prepare monthly journals and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Chair monthly stock provision meetings, maintaining actions and minutes
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cost centre variance analysis
• Rebate and contract support account reconciliations
• Report on scrap production and margin reviews
• Assist with stock takes and monthly stock counts
• Support the month-end processes for other business divisions
• Perform ad hoc finance tasks as required

What you'll need:

• AAT Qualified or working towards
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Basic knowledge of Accounting software
• Diligent, organised, motivated and professional
• Confident communicator and team player
• Flexible approach with a desire to progress within finance
