Job Title: Assistant Buyer
Client: Global engineering & manufacturing client
Location: Desford
Hourly Rate: £22.55ph PAYE or £29.56 Umbrella
Duration: 12 months
Working arrangements: Monday - Friday full-time onsite

About the Role

• My large Engineering client is looking for a driven and meticulous procurement professional to join their dynamic team, supporting the Procurement and Specialty Products Category areas in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Solicit supplier quotations, analyse cost breakdowns, update pricing records, and manage supplier communications.
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement procedures and industry best practices.
• Lead and support resource projects, resolve procurement challenges, and address invoice-related discrepancies.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding processes and foster strong, ongoing vendor relationships.

Key Skills:

• 3+ years procurement experience
• SAP
• Teamcenter
• Data driven: Ability to collect, interpret, and act on procurement data to meet business goals.
• Analytical Thinking: Skilled in identifying root causes and solving procurement-related challenges.
• Project Management: Competent in managing and executing procurement-related projects from start to finish.
