Your new role
As a Temporary Attendance Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and supporting the pastoral team in promoting good attendance across the school. Your key duties will include:

• Monitoring daily student attendance and updating records using the school's MIS (e.g. SIMS or Arbor)
• Following up on unexplained absences and contacting parents/carers
• Preparing attendance reports for senior leaders and external agencies
• Supporting safeguarding procedures by ensuring timely and accurate data
• Liaising with teaching staff and pastoral teams to address attendance concerns
• Assisting with general administrative tasks as required

This role is vital to ensuring the school meets its statutory obligations and supports student engagementWhat you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a school office or administrative role, ideally with attendance responsibilities
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with school management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Good communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
