Attendance Officer - Secondary School - Carshalton, Croydon
Location: Carshalton, Croydon
Hours: 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-Term, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £16 - £20 per hour based on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Carshalton, Croydon. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, ideal for someone with previous experience in a school attendance role.

• Monitoring and tracking pupil attendance and punctuality on a daily basis

• Following up on absences and lateness in line with school policies

• Communicating with parents/carers regarding attendance concerns

• Liaising with pastoral teams and external agencies as required

• Maintaining accurate records and producing attendance reports

• Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer in a school setting is essential

• Strong understanding of attendance procedures and safeguarding responsibilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail

• Confident using SIMS or other school MIS systems

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

• Supportive leadership team and welcoming staff environment
