Job Title: Band 6 Audiologist (Contract)
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Pay Rate: £18.10 - £21.80 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Locum/Contract | Full-Time
Sector: NHS - Audiology

Step Into a Role That Values Your Expertise and Fits Your Lifestyle

We're supporting a well-established NHS service in Norfolk that's looking for a skilled and reliable Band 6 Audiologist to join on a locum basis. Whether you're between roles or looking to take on a flexible contract in a supportive setting, this opportunity offers a meaningful role within a service that understands the value of experienced clinicians.

This is an ideal contract for someone seeking a well-run, collaborative environment where your clinical input will be respected and your time genuinely valued.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and hearing aid fittings using advanced diagnostic equipment, allowing you to work efficiently and deliver accurate, high-quality care.

  • Manage your own caseload while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team, giving you the autonomy to lead on patient care with the safety net of experienced colleagues.

  • Deliver patient education and counselling to support long-term hearing management and increase patient confidence and outcomes.

  • Maintain clear and compliant records that support effective follow-up care and meet NHS governance standards.

Why This Role Works for You
  • Modern Diagnostic Tools - You'll be working with reliable, well-maintained audiology systems that support smooth testing and accurate reporting, helping you deliver high standards without added friction.

  • Autonomy and Support Combined - You'll benefit from the independence expected at Band 6, but with the backup of a highly capable and approachable team, creating a balanced and manageable working environment.

  • Contract Flexibility - The hourly rate reflects your experience, and the contract structure means you have more control over your working arrangements, helping you balance professional goals with personal commitments.

  • Streamlined Onboarding - The team is ready to get the right person started quickly, with minimal fuss and clear expectations from day one.

What You'll Need
  • BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent qualification.

  • HCPC registration is essential.

  • Experience working within an NHS audiology service.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy clinical caseload effectively.

If you're a Band 6 Audiologist seeking a well-paid, well-run contract where your experience will be put to good use, this role offers the clinical focus and flexibility you're looking for.
