Audit Consultant - Banking

AUDIT CONSULTANT

Our cliient is an International Bank with a large Internal Audit Department which evaluates the design and effectiveness of key controls across the internal control environment and evaluates management's approach.

An internal QA function—independent of day-to-day audit operations—is required to ensure compliance with internal controls and processes this role would sit within this team

Role Responsibilities

• Perform full QA reviews on a selected sample of audit reports or thematic reviews across multiple reports each quarter.

• Conduct QA reviews of closed or extended Audit Findings and Management Self-Identified Issues.

• Produce quarterly QA summaries and share key insights with senior stakeholders.

• Provide audit methodology training and identify areas for staff development.

• Offer real-time guidance to auditors during active assignments (live QA).

• Recommend enhancements to QA processes for continuous improvement.

• Provide relevant training where needed based on these findings.

Key Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the following:

• In-depth knowledge of Internal Audit policies, procedures, and professional standard within Banking.

• Familiarity with the institute of Internal Auditors and their Global Standards
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver constructive feedback

• High attention to detail, especially in verifying the factual accuracy of audit reviews and management reporting.

• A university degree and a relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent.

• Proven experience in internal audit or credit review, with a solid track record in quality assurance.
