Job Description - Auto Electrician

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Auto Electrician to join a growing team based in Tamworth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems, including rotating electrics, vehicle wiring, and battery/charging systems. A solid understanding of Ohm’s Law and practical diagnostics is essential.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems
Work with rotating electrical components such as alternators and starter motors
Perform full and partial rewiring of vehicles
Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues
Service and install batteries, alternators, and related components
Work confidently on both classic and modern vehicle systems
Provide mobile/on-site service where required

Requirements:

Proven experience as an auto electrician or similar role
In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Ohm’s Law and its application in troubleshooting
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Own tools and diagnostic equipment (preferred)
Valid UK driving licence

Pay Rate:

Flexible hourly rate ranging from £13 to £16 per hour, based on the complexity of each job
Flat-rate or per-job payment options may be offered depending on the task
