Job Title: Band 6 Locum Pharmacy Technician - Part of a large NHS Trust
Location: Clinics across Mid and South Essex (Thurrock, Braintree, Southend, Basildon etc)
Duration: 3 months (ASAP start) April 2025
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 1-hour lunch)
Saturday shift: Once every 2 months (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM, time swapped during the week)
Rate of Pay: £23 - £26 per hour (PAYE Direct Engagement)

Join our NHS client's team as a Band 6 Locum Pharmacist OR Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in supporting community mental health clinics across Essex. In this role, you will:

• Review drug charts, check stock levels, and ensure adequate medication supply

• Provide dispensary cover, including ACT duties

• Work with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care

• Gain valuable NHS hospital experience with training provided

• Undertake some sole working with pharmacist guidance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• ACT accreditation (Accuracy Checking Technician)

• Previous experience as a Pharmacist or pharmacy technician (community or hospital experience welcome)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

• A valid right to work in the UK

This role offers a full-time locum position, requiring availability from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility where possible. The contract is for 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs. Mileage expenses are available when driving between clinic sites.
