Job Description:

As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with an NHS Trust to find an experienced and dedicated Specialist Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist who will be based in North East London (Romford area), providing a comprehensive specialist Childrens Speech & Language therapy service within mainstream schools.

The successful candidate will undertake EHC needs assessment for children aged 0-19 & mainstream school assessments for children aged 5-19.  Experience of administering formal and informal assessments, report writing and mainstream schools assessments is essential.

Locum roles with Direct Medics are a great way of enhancing your earning potential as well as working with some of the most professional and successful speech and language therapy teams in the country. This role is ideally full time (Monday- Friday 9am-5pm) & will require travel between required school settings on a temporary  basis until end of October 2025.

Requirements:

• HCPC & RCSLT registered Speech & Language Therapist with relevant Dysphagia Competencies


• Essential 18 months or more qualified UK (NHS) experience working as a speech and language therapist with children


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Full UK Drivers License and access to a car


• Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
