Job Title: Band 7 Midwife (Part-Time – 3 Days/Week)
Location: Gatehouse, Julian Hospital, Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, NR2 3TD
Pay Rate: £30 per hour LTD via Umbrella (PAYE options available)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Midwife to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) at the Gatehouse, Julian Hospital in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to deliver high-quality, compassionate midwifery care within a specialist setting. The ideal candidate will bring advanced clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a trauma-informed approach to support women and families through a range of complex situations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert midwifery care in accordance with national and local guidelines.
• Support and supervise Band 6 midwives and other staff, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including bereavement and mental health services.
• Lead on care planning for complex cases, incorporating trauma-informed approaches.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in audits and risk management.

Requirements:

• NMC Registered Midwife.
• Evidence of ongoing professional and personal development to degree level.
• Significant experience as a Band 6 Midwife covering the full spectrum of midwifery care.
• Sound understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Experience working with bereavement services and/or specialist midwifery services is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, clinical leadership, and decision-making skills.

Working Hours:

• 3 days per week (specific days negotiable).
