Social Emotional Mental Health Support Assistants Needed in Rochdale!

Looking for a new challenge this September? Tradewind Recruitment is hiring Teaching Assistants to support Rochdale's Pupil Referral Service. These full-time roles (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm) are temporary with strong potential to become permanent.

The Role:

• Support students aged 11-18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Help deliver personalised learning and manage behaviour
• Foster emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and social development
• Liaise with families and professionals to ensure student success

What We're Looking For:

• TA qualifications welcome but not essential
• Minimum 3 months' recent experience with young people (school, youth work, clubs, etc.)
• Calm, empathetic, and confident in managing behaviour
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting vulnerable learners

We welcome applicants from youth work, sports coaching, care, counselling, and community backgrounds.
