Do you have the confidence, patience, and resilience to support students with behavioural challenges?

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Croydon. This is a vital pastoral role, where you will work closely with students who require behavioural, emotional or social support to engage positively in school life.

• Support students in and out of lessons to help manage their behaviour and improve engagement

• Build positive, trusting relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor

• Work with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needs

• A calm, consistent, and firm approach with excellent communication skills

• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for students

• The ability to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour

• Experience in a school or youth work setting (preferred)

• A strong, supportive pastoral team
