Do you have a natural ability to connect with teenagers and want to help guide them toward success? Secondary schools in Hackney are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support students who may struggle with behaviour, engagement, or confidence.

This role is ideal for graduates or youth workers with a passion for building relationships and making a positive impact. Whether you're considering a future in education, psychology, or social care, this experience will give you valuable insight into the challenges and rewards of working with young people.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Mentoring students who need behaviour or emotional support
• Acting as a consistent and positive adult figure throughout the school day
• Supporting with de-escalation and behaviour intervention strategies
• Working with pastoral leads to help students re-engage in learning
• Encouraging a sense of routine, confidence and self-regulation

About You:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students (e.g. youth work, coaching, mentoring)
• Resilient, empathetic and able to remain calm under pressure
• Skilled at building rapport and setting firm boundaries
• A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
