Behaviour Mentors

Are you a Behaviour Mentor looking for a new role in Camden? Or are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who would like to support children with challenging behaviour?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Behaviour Mentors to join friendly, outstanding secondary SEMH schools in Camden with high standards and expectations of their staff. These schools specifically require support for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Roles are generally full time, long-term role starting in September 2025 with opportunities to go permanent.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be responsible for the below:

• Supporting secondary students with social, emotional and mental health needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Implementing behaviour management strategies and intervention plans
• Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and participation
• De-escalating challenging situations and providing emotional support
• Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
• Monitoring and recording student progress and behavioural changes

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

• Previous experience working with secondary students with social, emotional and mental health needs
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
