Location: Ravenshead NG15
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only | Temp-to-perm opportunities available

Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural, social, or emotional needs? We're recruiting a Behavioural Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive mainstream Primary School in Ravenshead providing vital 1:1 or small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.

Your Role

• Work closely with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement behaviour support plans
• Support pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, or trauma-informed needs
• Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Build trust and consistency with students through patient, respectful support
• Support in-class learning and supervise in a safe, structured environment

Requirements

• Experience working with children with behavioural difficulties (in schools, youth work, or care)
• Calm, resilient, and confident in managing challenging situations
• Knowledge of Team Teach, MAPA, or other de-escalation training is a plus (training can be provided)
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Able to commit to full-time, term-time work (typically 8:30am - 4pm)
