BI & Reporting Manager

The BI & Reporting Manager will oversee and manage the technical delivery of reporting solutions within the Analytics department. This role in the financial services industry requires expertise in reporting systems and strong organisational skills to ensure successful outcomes.

Description

• Define and implement the reporting delivery roadmap in alignment with investment banking priorities, regulatory obligations, and data governance standards.
• Serve as the technical lead for reporting solutions, offering hands-on expertise in BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as SQL-based data modeling.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across trading, risk, finance, and compliance to translate complex business requirements into scalable and actionable reporting solutions.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of reporting initiatives, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and compliance with critical regulatory deadlines (e.g., BCBS 239, MiFID II, FRTB).
• Oversee the design and development of dashboards, KPIs, and operational reports that enable both real-time and batch analytics across front-to-back business processes.
• Ensure seamless integration of reporting solutions with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks and centralized data warehouses.
• Continuously monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and optimize data processing workflows to enhance scalability and operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team of BI developers, delivery leads, and analysts.
• Define and uphold best practices for reporting development, testing, deployment, and change management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, data privacy regulations, and industry-specific reporting standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams-including data architects, data scientists, business analysts, and IT operations-to ensure smooth integration of data platform solutions.

Profile

• Over 7 years of experience in analytics and reporting within investment banking and capital markets.
• Proven ability to design and deliver regulatory and operational reporting solutions in complex, high-volume environments.
• Advanced expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik, combined with strong SQL and data modeling capabilities.
• Solid understanding of investment banking products, including derivatives, fixed income, and equities, along with the full trade lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and modern data architectures.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Practical experience implementing DevSecOps practices for reporting and visualization platforms, ensuring secure handling of confidential and sensitive data.
• Extensive knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) for data modeling, extraction, and reporting purposes.
