Billing and Recovery Officer

Service Care Solutions are working alongside North Northamptonshire who are looking for a dedicated and technically minded Billing and Recovery Officer to join their team on a temporary contract.

Role: Billing and Recovery Officer
Salary: £19 to 21 (PAYE exc.) / £21 to £24 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)
Location: Kettering, Northampton
Working: Hybrid 2-3 days home working (following an initial training period)
Contract: 6 months on going.

Role Overview:

• Manage the full life-cycle of Council Tax billing and recovery.
• Process amendments, discounts, exemptions, and changes of circumstances in line with current legislation and local procedures.
• Use the Academy system confidently to maintain accurate records and update accounts at all recovery stages.
• Respond to customer enquiries professionally by phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Interpret and apply relevant Council Tax legislation in day-to-day decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners where necessary.
