Backed by a private equity powerhouse, this organisation is scaling rapidly and needs a seasoned operator to lay the foundations for best-in-class cyber resilience and information security.

Description

This is not your standard security gig. We're building from the ground up: a Security Operations Centre (SOC), SOX compliance frameworks, and deeply embedded threat intelligence and automation. It's fast, lean, and zero tolerance for clunky systems.

You'll work closely with the SCC and cross-functional teams, owning the agenda for how security is shaped, adopted, and embedded across the business. There's room to move quickly, challenge status quos, and make your mark on a security culture that's still in its early chapters.

• Design, implement and lead a scalable Security Operations Centre (SOC)
• Define and drive a roadmap for SOX readiness and compliance
• Deploy and manage threat intelligence platforms, automation tools, and monitoring systems
• Collaborate with SCC and other departments to embed security into business workflows
• Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on emerging risks, regulatory obligations, and proactive mitigation
• Champion secure-by-design principles across both business and tech functions
• Select, streamline, and optimise tools-no interest in bloated stacks

Profile

• Proven BISO, CISO or senior security lead with hands-on experience building or scaling security operations
• Deep knowledge of SOX controls, governance and security risk frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO27001)
• Experience working within or alongside Private Equity or high-growth environments
• A sharp communicator with a confident presence-comfortable leading discussions from the tech floor to the boardroo
• Passion for clean, elegant security architecture-someone who avoids bureaucracy and gets things done
• Strong understanding of automation tools, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence feeds
• High integrity, low ego, and culturally attuned-someone who can collaborate, influence, and be a good fit for the team
