Blended Learning Officer

• Location: Prestwich
• Length of role: Initial 9 months
• Hourly rate: £18.21 per hour

We are seeking a Blended Learning Officer to develop innovative learning solutions using new technologies, providing high-quality learning and development services to the Force and external customers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about using technology to enhance learning experiences.

• Research and review learning technology solutions to identify more efficient and effective ways of using technology for learning.
• Deliver on branch objectives and KPIs, supporting the Senior Leadership Team in overall branch performance.
• Maintain contact with customers to ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality, productivity, and service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to meet requirements through analysis, planning, design, and review of blended learning solutions.
• Develop and communicate technology-assisted learning solutions.
• Monitor and improve the efficiency of training delivery, considering the deployment of trainers and support functions.
• Validate and evaluate the use of technology-assisted learning to ensure it meets customer needs.
• Support the nCalt eLearning system, maintain comprehensive systems documentation, and carry out help desk duties.
• Participate in continuous development of knowledge and skills and work across various areas of the Learning Services team as directed.

• Proficiency in Adobe Captivate and experience with Adobe Photoshop.
• Aptitude for learning and using unfamiliar e-learning software, such as voice synthesis software.
• Experience in designing and developing learning materials using various methodologies (e.g., classroom, eLearning, workshops).
• Ability to coordinate learning design projects and create materials that improve traditional learning programs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to impart information effectively.
• Good project management skills, able to plan ahead, assess priorities, and manage workloads.
• Competence in using computer systems including Microsoft Office and the Internet.
