The Opportunity An established and respected manufacturing business in the Tamworth area is currently looking to recruit a Brake Press Setter/Operator to join their precision engineering team.
This is a full-time role offering stable hours, an early finish every Friday, and the chance to work on high-quality components within a clean, well-run environment.

Role Overview As a Brake Press Setter/Operator, you’ll play a vital part in the production of precision-formed parts, primarily for use in rail and associated industries. The position involves operating Amada press brake machines, working from detailed technical drawings, and ensuring high standards of accuracy and finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate Amada brake press machines according to specifications
• Interpret engineering drawings and route cards to produce components to exact standards
• Perform quality checks using tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
• Maintain production quality, efficiency, and safety standards
• Work collaboratively to identify improvements in processes and output

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience setting and operating Amada brake presses
• Strong technical understanding of engineering drawings and measurement tools
• Competency in self-inspection and working to tight tolerances
• A proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively
