About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of our Building Cleaning Service. This is a key role focused on maintaining clean, safe, and well-managed sites across a range of buildings.

You'll work closely with cleaning staff, conducting site inspections, upholding high standards, delivering practical training, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and risk assessments. You'll need a flexible and proactive attitude, as this is a hands-on role that involves working across multiple public and commercial premises.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth daily operation of the Building Cleaning Department.

• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor and maintain cleaning standards.

• Support and assist cleaning staff, including covering shifts when needed.

• Deliver practical training to new and existing team members.

• Enforce Health & Safety and COSHH compliance at all times.

• Maintain accurate COSHH records and oversee completion of risk assessments.

• Report staffing or operational issues to the Management Team.

• Foster a positive, supportive team environment.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in cleaning operations, ideally across various sites (e.g., schools, public buildings).

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team support role.

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.

• A hands-on leader who leads by example.

• Organised, detail-focused, and dependable.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites (preferred).
