Building Control Manager

This is a temporary role based in Rochford paying £428.85 per day, 22.5 hours per week.

We are looking for someone to manage and lead the Building Control team, ensuring all building works comply with current legislation, regulations, and safety standards. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, supports sustainable construction practices, and oversees the enforcement of building regulations.

Accountabilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the Building Control department, supervise, mentor, and develop Building Control Officers and surveyors.

Review and approve complex building plans and structural designs, conduct site inspections to ensure construction is in line with approved plans.

Essentials

Degree or equivalent experience in a construction related discipline e.g. Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar.

BSR registered, Level 2, & Level 4

Membership of relevant Professional Body e.g. CABE, CIOB or RICS.

Extensive Knowledge and understanding of Building Control service delivery including working at a senior level.
