Job Description - Building Control Surveyor

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South West London, are looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join their in-house construction design team.

Position: Building Control Surveyor
Location: South West London
Salary: £33.51p/h umbrella
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
Contract: Until July 2025 (possible extension)

Purpose:

Responsible for delivering projects throughout all RIBA Stages.
Working closely with clients to identify their needs and put together design proposals for a wide range of facilities including leisure centres, residential buildings, cemeteries, day centres, libraries, care homes, family hubs, historical monuments.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
At least 5 years experience within a Building Control Surveyor or equivalent.
Good knowledge of CAD software, technical building regulations and British Standards.
Experience in administration of JCT contracts.
Experience in producing building specifications with NBS.
RICS qualification preferred but not essential.
