Job Description - Business Analyst

Business Analyst - Contract (6 Months) - Telford (On-site, 2 Days Per Week) - Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic team on a 6-month contract. This role requires on-site work for two days per week in Telford, offering a competitive daily rate (Inside IR35).

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile public sector project, supporting the delivery of critical business and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the public sector to identify and analyze business needs.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather and document business requirements.

  • Develop detailed business process models, user stories, and functional specifications.

  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and solution architects to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

  • Support the development of business cases and provide recommendations for process improvements.

  • Work within an Agile and/or Waterfall project environment, ensuring best practices are followed.

  • Develop and maintain key project documentation, including BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), process flows, and impact assessments.

  • Engage in stakeholder management, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

? Public Sector Experience - Strong background working in government or public sector organizations.
? Business Analysis Expertise - Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze business requirements effectively.
? Stakeholder Engagement - Experience liaising with senior stakeholders, gathering requirements, and managing expectations.
? Process Mapping & Improvement - Ability to document current and future state processes and recommend improvements.
? Agile & Waterfall Methodologies - Experience working within structured project frameworks.
? Technical Awareness - Understanding of digital transformation, IT systems, and data analysis.
? Strong Documentation Skills - Ability to create clear and concise documentation, including BRDs, process flows, and functional specs.
