Our client in Blackpool is currently on the lookout for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their team to deliver a specific project of transformation.

You will play a critical role in mapping and analysing existing business processes flows and workloads, identifying inefficiencies, and developing alternative methods and solutions to improve operational effectiveness and productivity. This role will likely fall into IR35 regulations but we would be willing to explore a structure that would sit outside of the regulations for the right candidate.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Analyse current business processes and workflows in the business to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, duplication and improvement opportunities
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and data gathering sessions with key stakeholders to understand workflows and pain points
• Create detailed process maps, workflow diagrams, and current state documentation using industry-standard tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS)
• Develop future state process designs, outlining more efficient methods or technology-enabled alternatives
• Quantify workload drivers and assess capacity planning to support appropriate resourcing plans
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and leadership in clear, concise reports
• Collaborate with operational teams, IT, and project managers to validate and implement process improvements
• Define success metrics and KPIs for proposed changes and support in measuring impact post-implementation

The following skills and experience will be beneficial for this role:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role focused on process improvement and workload analysis
• Strong skills in process modelling, business process reengineering (BPR), and workload assessment
• Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, ARIS)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willing to travel to Blackpool 1-2 days a week
