Business Analyst – Defence
Rate: £65 PAYE or £87.83
Contract length: 6 months
Hybrid: 1-2 days per month on site
Location: Barrow-in-Furness

You’ll be required to undergo SC Clearance.

This is more than a typical BA role — it’s a chance to work across diverse projects and stakeholders, improve business processes, and directly contribute to the future of Submarines at BAE Systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

Define project scope and high-level requirements in both Agile and Waterfall environments
Collaborate with stakeholders to shape small to medium project changes
Apply appropriate project methodologies (Agile, iterative, or plan-driven)
Analyse operational needs and identify impactful business solutions
Align requirements with strategic roadmaps to support business-wide objectives
Specify and manage requirements for tools, data, resources, and environments
Address issues, drive corrective actions, and share key insights

What You’ll Bring
Essential:

BCS Diploma in Business Analysis (or equivalent experience)
Proven ability to manage multiple change initiatives simultaneously
Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
Background in the manufacturing and/or defence industry
