Job Description - Business Analyst - Insurance Policy Admin System PAS Upgrade

IT Business Analyst - Insurance Policy Admin System (PAS) Upgrade

Our client, one of the UK's leading insurance brokers have a requirement for an experienced IT Business Analyst to capture both the technical and business requirements for a business critical transformation project to upgrade one of the business's policy administration systems (PAS). The current PAS platform is an in-house built application on legacy technology, with the business building a new bespoke PAS platform on new technology.

This IT Business Analyst will be the bridge between the business and IT, and will join at the initiation phase of the project, working closely with the client's in-house technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the new platform meets the business requirements. This BA will likely be engaged for the entirety of project, right through into business implementation / go-live of the new platform.

Up to £500 per day - OUTSIDE IR35

6 month initial contract (with scope for long term extensions)

Hybrid working - 2 to 3 days a week onsite in the client's office in the City of London

Experience needed:

  • Strong previous IT Business Analysis experience
  • Extensive experience of capturing both technical and business requirements
  • Previous experience of working in the insurance industry, ideally within speciality insurance or broking
  • Previous experience of working on policy administration system (PAS) upgrade and / or PAS implementations
  • Previous experience of working with in-house technical teams
  • Exceptional business stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and be the bridge between the business and technical teams
  • Strong inter-personal and relationship building skills
