Job Description - Business Development Specialist

Red Recruitment is recruiting a Business Development Specialist in Banbury to join our client, a premier contact centre outsourcing business, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to their clients.

They are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis, working on behalf of an exciting, fast-growing brand that delivers premium, high-protein ready meals to gyms and fitness professionals.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for health and fitness, enjoy engaging with people and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

The hourly rate is £12.21 per hour, plus there is the opportunity to earn uncapped commission.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Specialist:

  • Conducting high-quality outbound calls to potential and existing customers in the health and fitness sector
  • Acting as a brand ambassador, delivering expert knowledge about the product and campaign offerings
  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring excellent service, retention, and upselling opportunities
  • Identifying client needs and tailoring product recommendations to maximize satisfaction and sales performance
  • Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with gym managers, business owners, and fitness professionals
  • Working closely with internal sales and campaign teams to meet and exceed sales targets

Key Skills and Experience of a Business Development Specialist:

  • You should have experience in a sales, business development, or customer service role (ideally in an outbound or B2B environment)
  • Excellent phone manner and strong verbal communication skills are required
  • You will be required to have the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and decision-makers
  • Having a passion for health, wellness, and fitness is highly desirable
  • You should have a goal-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed KPIs
  • Ideally, you will be tech-savvy with a basic understanding of HubSpot
