School Business Manager

We’re working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Barking & Dagenham that is looking for an experienced School Business Manager to join their team. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Headteacher and senior staff in the smooth running of the school’s operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is passionate about making a difference in education.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing the school’s budget and financial systems to ensure resources are used effectively.
• Overseeing day-to-day administration and ensuring smooth office operations.
• Supporting HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Coordinating site management, including maintenance, contractors, and health & safety compliance.
• Working closely with the leadership team to support strategic planning and school improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a school or education setting.
• Confident with financial management and HR processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
