Job title: Business Planning & Performance Specialist

Location: Warwick/Hybrid - 1 day per week in office

Duration: 12 months initial

Day Rate: From £400 - negotiable

As the Business Planning & Performance Specialist you will act as an enabler for the procurement department, focusing on performance tracking, financials, reporting and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Performance & Financial Tracking:

  • Manage departmental budgets and financials.
  • Track procurement performance using KPIs (e.g., cost savings).
  • Benchmark performance internally and externally.

System & Data Management:

  • Use and support the CMPS system (project management and benefits tracking tool).
  • Assist category teams with data input, reporting, and system training.
  • Analyse project timelines, resource planning, and utilisation.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies and lead improvement projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with various teams and senior management.
  • Present data insights in a clear, visual format (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • Provide training and user support for systems and processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., CMPS).
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written).
  • Presentation and training capabilities.
  • Analytical and logical thinker.
  • Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role (data + people).
  • Background in procurement is desirable but not essential.
