Job Description:

A high-achieving and supportive secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London is looking for a passionate and motivated Business Studies Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time role is ideal for a graduate who is considering a future in teaching and would like to gain hands-on classroom experience in a thriving secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the teaching and learning of Business Studies at Key Stages 4 and 5

Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and learning activities

Provide 1:1 and small group academic support to students

Assist in preparing lesson resources and maintaining classroom organisation

Support student engagement, behaviour, and progress

Participate in extracurricular activities and whole-school events where appropriate

Requirements:

A degree in Business Studies or a related subject (e.g. Economics, Marketing, Finance)

Paid or voluntary experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work, classroom support)

A strong interest in pursuing a career in secondary education

Confident communication and interpersonal skills

Positive attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student development

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
