Learning and Development Administrator
  • Annual Salary: £12.65 per hour
  • Location: Glenfield 
  • Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Corporate Learning and Development Service and Management Team. This role involves interacting with a range of customers, internal and external stakeholders, and partners, ensuring that our services are business-focused and efficiently managed.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Administer all learning and development activities and events, including arranging venues, catering, resources, and maintaining databases and learning management systems.
  • Manage electronic calendars for the management team, schedule appointments, arrange travel, and ensure preparation time for meetings.
  • Process orders and maintain accurate budget records.
  • Maintain and operate filing systems in compliance with data protection laws and confidentiality requirements.
  • Organize and administer learning and development events and meetings, including issuing contracts, liaising with external service providers, and preparing and distributing materials and minutes.
  • Receive visitors and handle catering and room bookings for Learning and Development events.
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls and emails, ensuring high levels of customer care.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence, track progress, and prioritize work.
  • Undertake research to assist with policy development and skill level assessments.
  • Produce typed documents from various sources and maintain the Corporate Learning and Development intranet and other systems.
  • Support the Corporate Learning and Development function and related council schemes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a learning and development environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using office software packages and managing electronic calendars.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws and confidentiality practices.
  • Experience in handling sensitive information and providing high levels of customer service.
